Ieri sera nel grazioso paesino di Sassi nella bella Garfagnana Lucchese siamo ritornati in questa trattoria e come nelle precedenti volte abbiamo ritrovato la genuinità, la semplicità e le persone che solo questi angoli spesso nascosti riescono a darti. Si respira Italia, l’Italia passata, dove al tavolo trovi famiglie, anziani che parlano senza cellulare in mano, storie di amici passati, grappe e risate vere.
Non sono cene o ristoranti, sono ritrovi, dove spesso non ci si sofferma sulla pasta se è al dente o no, ma sulla voglia di stare in compagnia.
La cucina rispecchia tutto ciò. Verità e Semplicità. Il pranzo della domenica, se cercate altro non è un posto per voi. Eravamo in due, porzioni direi quasi doppie, Tordelli, Maccheroni, Tagliata, Pollo e Coniglio Fritto, Tegame di Verdure al Forno, Dessert, Bottiglia di Vino, Caffè e Amari 25 € a Persona.

Yesterday evening in the pretty village of Sassi in the beautiful Garfagnana Lucchese we returned to this restaurant and as in previous times we found the authenticity, simplicity and people that only these often hidden corners can give you. You can breathe Italy, the Italy of the past, where at the table you find families, elderly people talking without cell phones in their hands, stories of past friends, grappa and real laughter.
They are not dinners or restaurants, they are gatherings, where often we don’t focus on the pasta whether it is al dente or not, but on the desire to be in company.
The kitchen reflects all this. Truth and Simplicity. Sunday lunch, if you are looking for anything else, this is not a place for you. There were two of us, I would say almost double portions, Tordelli, Macaroni, Tagliata, Fried Chicken and Rabbit, Pan of Baked Vegetables, Dessert, Bottle of Wine, Coffee and Bitters €25 per Person.
