Erano gli anni boh.
Gli anni di coca e pizza e la coca era gassata.
Gli anni che le donne erano fragole e i “bimbetti” contadini. Coglievano ogni frutto.
Ogni frutto era misteriosamente dolce e favola.
Si abitava a S’Anna. La New York di Lucca.
E si veniva qui a Nave…nel cartello c’era scritto Nave York. Si sognava.
Si veniva qui da Calogero ! Era la pizza gourmet degli anni del Ciao ma io ero impedito e mi facevo portare. Erano gli anni che la prima pizza equivaleva a bacio e palpata calda e bagnata come la pizza. Io ero indietro bevevo coca e le ragazze birra….quelle da muratore al 4% che cercano freschezza e sollievo e non giramenti di testa ….. sopra i ponteggi.
La pizza era bona fra le migliori a Lucca.
Dopo 30 anni torno qui, i tempi sono cambiati (per me)…la Tennents ha preso il posto della Coca, la donna non cambia ad ogni pizza ma è sempre la solita (fortuna sua ), un po’ di magia si è persa…ma la pizza è sempre bona e dopo 30 anni non può che essere così.

Those were the boh years. The years of coke and pizza and the coke was carbonated. The years when women were strawberries and peasant “little babies”. They picked every fruit. Each fruit was mysteriously sweet and fairytale. We lived in S’Anna. The New York of Lucca. And you used to come here to Ship … the sign said Ship York. We dreamed. We used to come here from Calogero! It was the gourmet pizza of the Ciao years but I was prevented and I let myself be brought. Those were the years that the first pizza was equivalent to a kiss and a touch as hot and wet as pizza. I was back drinking coke and the girls beer …. those 4% bricklayers looking for freshness and relief and not dizziness ….. over the scaffolding. The pizza was good among the best in Lucca. After 30 years I come back here, times have changed (for me) … Tennents has taken the place of Coke, the woman does not change with every pizza but she is always the same (her luck ), a bit of magic yes is lost … but the pizza is always good and after 30 years it can only be so.
